May 4 - November 21: Asian Art Museum Exhibit "Japan's Early Ambassadors to San Francisco, 1860-1927"
Fukuzawa Yukichi, who was on board Kanrin Maru in 1860 and whose portrait is on the 10,000 yen note, became one of the founders of modern Japan. He founded Keio University as the oldest private university, and current students from this University will provide short talks on the following topics:
